4* Kayak
A four Star paddler will have the all round paddling ability, safety, rescue and basic leadership required to undertake trips on sheltered - moderate water with a group of paddlers able themselves to be able to operate in a self-sufficient manner. For white water this means leading on grade 2 and being lead on grade 3 white water.
4 Star Training
The 4 Star training course is a two-day course on grade 2 and 3 white water. During the training course you will receive coaching in all aspects of the award syllabus and get the chance to practice it first-hand, gaining valuable feedback.
At the end of the two days you will receive a personal action plan to help you towards your 4 Star assessment.

4 Star Assessment
This practical discipline specific two day assessment will cover all aspects of the syllabus in your chosen craft. The assessment is professional but relaxed and you will be given every opportunity to demonstrate your ability ona number of occasions.
Assessments typically involve a leadership day and a personal skills day, with an additional 3rd day on open water for the Open Canoe 4 star.
