Scottish OPen Canoe Expedition:
River Spey Three Day Descent
Itinerary:
Meeting in Aviemore in the morning before launching into the Spey for a day of tree lined meandering rapids and gently moving water paddling down to Boat of Balliefurth. Day two takes us down through more challenging water and fun technical rapids before arriving at Blacksboat for the nights wild camp. Day three sees us leave and straight back into the rapids which come thick and fast, interspersed with some calm moments to take in the views and smells of the distilleries lining the river before finishing the trip in Craigellachie.
This trip requires a level of prior experience in either a Kayak or Canoe of around three days paddling including elements of prior white water knowledge. Further instruction and guiding will be provided throughout the trip by your personal coach.
